I currently serve as the Director of Education for the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) at UCLA. In this role, I collaborate with faculty, industry, and community organizations to develop educational content centered around STEM, nanoscience, entrepreneurship, and professional development. This content targets audiences ranging from K-12 and public efforts to post-doctoral scholars and early stage faculty.

I am also a faculty member at ArtCenter College of Design, where in addition to developing the college’s materials science minor, I’ve also established their first ever science lab. As an educator for artists and designers, I engage with undergraduate and graduate students with hands-on labs to help them develop their research skills, and discussions to develop their critical thinking skills around technology, design, and society. Students are given the goal of developing project ideas with their major that thoughtfully incorporate the concepts presented throughout each of my courses.

I frequently appear as a guest expert speaker on nanotechnology and STEAM for TV and social media, podcasts, and speaking engagements. Email me if you’re interested in booking me to speak at your events.
